My inspiration to start The Accountkeepers came from seven, often exasperated, words I’ve heard many times as a Chief Financial Officer: “It’s hard to find a good bookkeeper!”. This, I have learned, is simply not true. What’s hard is understanding what a bookkeeper is, what your company really needs, and providing the right structure and support for a bookkeeper to thrive. As it turns out, most companies aren’t well suited to do this.
And why should they be?! Why should your business be an expert at accounting? Let us do that. Let your people spend their time on what matters to your firm, what you’re uniquely talented at, and let us take care of the books. We’re really, really good at it.
For more than a decade I’ve been a Chief Financial Officer, an entrepreneur, and an investment banker. Over that time, I’ve come to love bookkeepers. They’re the best! They keep us organized, and give us the financial data we need to make smart decisions. We at The Accountkeepers love them, and are excited to be at the forefront of a shift in the way companies manage their bookkeeping.
Robin brings over 10 years of experience in business development, operations, fundraising, and executive leadership with startup social ventures and innovative nonprofit organizations. She received her BA in Economics from Vassar College, and is a Certified Bill.com Expert.
As someone who can’t get enough of fast-paced companies, Robin has a deep appreciation for the important role bookkeepers play in keeping organizations healthy. She loves working with numbers almost as much as people, and is thrilled to support the growth of company that values both.
When she’s not in front of a computer, Robin can be found riding her bike, trying to decipher her collection of Appalachian Trail maps, or taking advantage of any opportunity she has to see live music.
Dianne has over 30 years of accounting and finance experience across many business sectors—co-operatives, engineering & environmental development firms, non-profits, associations, law firms, start-ups, medical practices, and more. She holds a BBS in Accounting from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and is a Certified Bill.com Expert and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.
Dianne came to The Accountkeepers for the company’s people-centered philosophy, and with an interest in making work both efficient and enjoyable by embracing the best in new accounting automation technology.
When she’s not at work, Dianne enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 sons, 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and a very spoiled beagle; watching sports (NHL Carolina Hurricanes!); or reading a good book (she welcomes recommendations).
Jennifer brings 17 years of diverse accounting experience with companies that range from small businesses to large corporations, and spent eight years running her own bookkeeping practice. Jennifer holds a BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Metropolitan State University, and is a Certified Bill.com Expert and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.
Jennifer joined the Accountkeepers because she is excited about working at the forefront of accounting automation technology while collaborating on diverse projects with colleagues in an environment that gives everyone the flexibility to be human.
When her mind isn't thinking about accounting, you’ll find her watching sports (she is a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan) and following her daughter's water polo games.
Renee has over 20 years of accounting and controller-level experience with private and publicly-traded companies, nonprofits, and government contractors. She is a CPA with a BS in Accounting from George Mason University; a Chartered Global Management Accountant; a Certified Bill.com Expert and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor; and an active member of both the Virginia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.
An early adopter of new technology, Renee is enthusiastic about maximizing efficiency and reliability for her clients through leveraging the most up-to-date accounting software and integration advancements.
Renee is originally from Hawaii but has spent most of her life in Northern Virginia, where she lives with her daughter and their two Maltipoo dogs, Skittles and Snickers.
Sibil brings nearly ten years of bookkeeping and payroll experience in client accounting services and the construction industry. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from MiraCosta College, where she graduated with the highest honors. She is also a certified Bill.com Expert and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor.
Sibil loves working with people and loves being part of a company that makes people a priority. She also enjoys keeping up with the newest technology and is excited about using apps and other automation tools that increase both productivity and accuracy for her clients.
Outside of work, she is likely to be found at the karate dojo with her oldest son, or on the soccer field with her youngest. She also loves getting exercise and makes sure to fit in time for her own workouts every evening.
